Congratulations to the Latest 成人视频色情片Governing Board Honorees!

On Tuesday, May 28, we kicked off the final awards and recognition ceremony of the 2023-24 school year!

As the leader in quality education standards and third-party evaluation, the Cognia STEM Certification program recognizes schools, systems, and programs that demonstrate a strong and effective STEM focus. The COGNIA team was so impressed that they noted that they would like to partner with Canyon Springs in the future to provide support and direction to other STEM accredited campuses.

Now on to some students who left their competition in the dust this season on the track! In fact, many of these athletes proved just how much grit and how #extraordinary they are overcoming many injuries to make it on the podium this season! 

The Sandra Day O'Connor High School boys 4x800 team not only earned state  and super state runner-up medals in their event, but set a new school record for their time! Congratulations to the 4x800 Division 1 state and super state runners up, Sandra Day O’Connor High School’s  George Middendorf, Simon Streeter, Nathan Lehman, and Tyler Olsen!

O’Connor senior, Taeja Bartee tore her ACL during the basketball season as a sophomore which forced her to take that track season off to recover. Her junior year, she returned to the track but didn't participate in the long jump wanting to give herself another season to heal. Taeja came back stronger than ever for her senior season… starting long jumping halfway through the year and progressively improving while gaining confidence which led her to a state championship in Division 1 long jump. This was the culmination of an incredible high school track career where she secured 5 school records! Taeja is staying on the track next season as she has committed to run for Pima Community College on their track team. Congratulations, Taeja Bartee, Division 1 long jump state champion! 

O’Connor Senior, Jezelle Santiago, also soared to victory for the Eagles during the Division 1 high jump championship this year! Jezelle was the state runner up in high jump last season and was determined to take home a state championship in the event during her final season this year. Her season best jump was 5 feet 7 inches which wasn’t only a personal best… but  is the best jump in all of Arizona. Jezelle will continue her track and field career at Grand Canyon University next season! Congratulations, division 1 high jump state champion, Jezelle Santiago!

Barry Goldwater Senior, D’Vaughn Hicks, proved his dedication to his track team this season during the state championship meet! In fact, no one knew that he was actually running on an injury when he competed at divisional state and all-state! Fighting through the injury - He put up a photo finish running at time of 39.21 in the 300 meter hurdles to take state runner up at the divisional state. And running a 15.19 to take 3rd place in the 110 final. D’Vaughn just graduated from Barry Goldwater High School and will move on to compete at Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa, where he will run track at the collegiate level! Congratulations to 300 meter state champion runner up, D’Vaughn Hicks!

The Barry Goldwater bulldogs, including D’Vaughn Hicks, went on to prove what they were made of together during the 4x400 Division three state championship relay! The Barry Goldwater relay team took 1st place in the Division 3 state championship 4x400 race this season! 

The team of D’Vaughn Hicks, Myles Vasquez, Eddie Barbour & Josiah Anderson won the race AND set a new school record with a time of 3 minutes 19 seconds and 62 hundredths of a second! 

Congratulations to the 4x400 Division 3 state champions- Barry Goldwater High School’s…  Josiah Anderson, D’Vaughn Hicks, Myles Vasquez, and Eddie Barbour!

Barry Goldwater High School Senior, Josiah Anderson, ran a 47.31 at the state championship securing him a state champion for a third year in a row! He went on to compete at the open where he ran a  46.77, 400 meter Dash in division 3–This time was nearly a second faster than the runner-up attempting to catch him! This is now the third year in a row that he was crowned the 400m state champion for division 3 and his first super state championship in the event! Congratulations 400 meter dash division 3 state and open super state champion, Josiah Anderson!

Deer Valley High School senior Nate Nitschke earned a state champion runner-up title during his final season on the track for the Skyhawks! Nate has a passion for pole-vaulting, so much so, that coaches throughout his many seasons have commented that he is often the first one to show up and the last to leave during practice. This dedication paid off as Nate earned a 1st place title in the district, 1st Place at Regionals, a Runner Up State Champion title, a Top 10 finish at Super State, and he finished the season earning a record height for all of 成人视频色情片at 15 feet 3 inches which is the second highest pole vault of all time in district history! Congratulations, division 3 state champion runner up in pole vault, Nate Nitch-key!

The O’Connor Boys Varsity Volleyball Team finished its season falling just short in the state championship to Brophy. Being not only the top ranked team in the state, but in the nation, the match up between number 1 seeded O’Connor and the number 2 seed, Brophy was the ultimate volleyball duel in the desert. The Eagles finished their season with an impressive overall record of 35-4 with their only AIA loss coming in the championship game. Congratulations, 6A Boy’s Volleyball state runners up, Sandra Day O’Connor High School!

The sixth seeded 6A Baseball team, the Sandra Day O’Connor High School Eagles, battled their way to the 6A State Championship game at Tempe Diablo Stadium Tuesday, May 14. The team had an uphill climb to reach the championship game with stunning upsets twice against number 3 Liberty High School 4-3 and 2-1. And then defeating  number 2 Brophy Prep 2-1 in 10 innings and again 3-1 which sent the team to the 6A State Championship game against  number 1 seeded Queen Creek High School. SDOHS found themselves tied up with Queen Creek in the final inning which sent the game to extra innings… but the Eagles came up short with a final score of 6-7 in 10 innings. Congratulations to the 6A Baseball Runners Up for the 2023-24 season, Sandra Day O’Connor High School Baseball!
